About this assembly
Solidarity with LATIN AMERICA is a non-profit association founded in 1985 by Dipl.-Ing. Hermann Schaller in order to incorporate the idea of solidarity with people in the so-called 3rd world into the teaching of Styrian agriculture and home economics schools.
In solidarity with LATIN AMERICA, committed people have come together who want to contribute to the creation of a more just world through their work. Our association works in various groups: The Board of Solidarity with LATIN AMERICA consists of 19 people and meets around five times a year to discuss new projects, actions and the use of funds. The management team forms the inner circle of the Board of Management and meets monthly. The project group reviews new projects, keeps in touch with our project partners and prepares projects for approval by the Executive Board. The Public Relations Group uses our newspaper to inform members and interested parties at least twice a year about projects in Latin America, provides background information and invites you to special events.
