Who we are
We are Maqsuda Rahman and Marija Đokić Petrović, candidates for the Migrant Advisory Board on List 4 — Education, Respect and Opportunities (BRC).
We bring a variety of professional, cultural and personal experiences to the table. What unites us is a common goal: to strengthen the voices of migrants in Graz and to contribute to a city in which all people have the opportunity to get involved, to be heard and to be treated with respect.
What we stand for
BRC — Education, Respect and Opportunities stands for educational equality, mutual respect and fair opportunities for all people who live in Graz — regardless of origin, language or personal background.
Our focus areas are:
Better access to education, information and social participation
Equal opportunities and fair treatment for all
Respectful cooperation and peaceful coexistence
Stronger cooperation between migrant communities, associations and municipal institutions
Practical and sustainable solutions that improve the everyday life of migrants in Graz
Graz is home to people with a wide variety of languages, cultures and life stories. We see this diversity as a major strength. Together, we can help create a city that is more open, inclusive, just and more solidary — a city in which every vote counts and every person has the opportunity to actively participate in social life.
